Rep. Bruce Westerman discusses budget, legislation and extends birthday wishes on social media

Rep. Bruce Westerman, who has represented Arkansas’ 4th District in the U.S. Congress since 2015, shared several updates via social media in early April 2025. The tweets covered a range of topics from budget resolutions to voter legislation and a personal message.

On April 9, Westerman emphasized the importance of a new budget resolution. He stated, "This budget resolution provides House Republicans with the opportunity to deliver on our promises made to the American people: -Lower costs -Unleash American energy -Reduce burdensome regulations." He stressed that there is a need to restore fiscal sanity and reverse "unchecked spending sprees from past."

In a social media post dated April 10, Westerman expressed support for the integrity of electoral processes through legislation. He noted, "Elections determine the future of our democracy, and it is vital that Congress protect its integrity." He proudly declared that he cosponsored and voted in favor of the SAVE Act, aiming to return the power to the American people.

Later the same day, Westerman shared a personal message by wishing someone a happy birthday, writing, "Happy birthday @SecRollins!".

Bruce Westerman, a graduate of the University of Arkansas, has a significant legislative history since replacing Tom Cotton in Congress. His previous political experience includes serving in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015. Westerman, aged 55, currently resides in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he was born.
