Bruce Westerman highlights app challenge winners and NDAA passage

Rep. Bruce Westerman, who has served as the U.S. Congressman for Arkansas' 4th District since 2015, recently communicated various updates and accomplishments through a series of tweets on December 11, 2024.

In a tweet from December 11, 2024, Rep. Westerman announced that his Mobile Office was available at the Ashdown Courthouse in Little River County until noon CT. He emphasized readiness to assist constituents with their needs.

Later the same day, another tweet celebrated the achievements of Humam Al-shami and Mohammed Alroobi, winners of the 2024 Congressional App Challenge. Their application "AquaEyes," designed to detect drownings in various bodies of water, was recognized for its life-saving potential. Rep. Westerman expressed gratitude towards all students from the 4th District who participated in the challenge.

Additionally, Rep. Westerman shared news regarding legislative progress through a tweet posted on December 11, 2024. He announced that the FY25 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) had been passed. The act aims to improve service members' quality of life, bolster national defense capabilities, deter global adversaries, support Israel and protect borders while also aiding the defense industry within Arkansas' 4th District.
