President Trump recently signed an executive order aimed at addressing water supply issues in California and improving disaster response efforts in both California and North Carolina. This move is intended to enhance water deliveries and support recovery from natural disasters, while also working to prevent future catastrophic wildfires.

House Committee on Natural Resources Chairman Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.) expressed his support for the executive order. In a statement, he said, "My prayers go out to all those affected by natural disasters in California, North Carolina and in many other areas of the country. President Trump has taken meaningful action to keep his promises, and his executive order to increase water deliveries in California is one more example. Under his leadership, important issues like these are raised to the forefront."

Westerman emphasized the importance of collaboration between Congress and the Trump administration in enacting policies that would increase access to natural resources and help prevent tragedies similar to those experienced in Southern California and North Carolina.

The executive order highlights President Trump's commitment to addressing key infrastructure challenges faced by states dealing with frequent natural disasters.
