40 coaches at institutions in Clark County earned $48,264 on average in 2022

Clark County’s 40 coaches earned an average salary of $48,264 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the eighth highest average salary per county earned by coaches at Arkansas post-secondary schools during 2022.

Clark County is home to two post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, Ouachita Baptist University stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $61,367.

Male coaches of men's teams received $59,204 on average in Clark County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $45,771.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
