75.8% of Union County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 39,262 citizens living in Union County in 2021, 75.8% were old enough to vote, equating to 29,769 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 14,318 were male, constituting 48.1%, and 15,451 were female, making up 51.9%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Union County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 76.5%.
