WASHINGTON - Congressman Bruce Westerman released the following statement on the passing of former Arkansas 1st District Representative Marion Berry: 

"My condolences and prayers go out to the family of former Arkansas 1st District Representative Marion Berry. Although, I never met Rep. Berry until a few years after he left Congress, I always found him to be a genuinely warm and kind individual who always made me feel welcome when I attended the infamous Gillett Coon Supper or other times when our paths would cross. He left an impression in Washington DC as some of his colorful speeches still come up in discussions. His reputation for service and the quality of his staff members that served his constituents are a legacy his family and friends can embrace."
