Position Summary:
The Veterans Upward Bound Program Director monitors the financial and operational status of the VUB federal budget totaling $1,488,005.00. The Director supervises three professional staff members, part-time veteran student employees, and 125 veteran participants.In addition, the Director is a liaison with the U.S. Veterans Administration and is in charge of planning, evaluating, and implementing Veterans Upward Bound educational programming and cultural activities. This position is governed by the U.S. Department of Education, state and federal laws, Henderson State University, and ASU. The VUB Director is under the direct supervision of the TRiO Director and the HSU Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Success.
