In honor of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, International Paper is proud to share details of our TeamSafe Trucking (TST) initiative. IP and TeamSafe have a partnership where we host an online orientation video that features the ins and outs of the our mills all across the West Regions. It highlights important safety protocols and requirements to ensure the safe delivery of pulpwood to our mills.
On June 8th, we presented to all drivers checking in at the Mansfield ,La. Mill scalehouse, as well as providing informational flyers to those hauling pulpwood. It was done in an effort to promote the latest and most up-to-date information on IP safety standards. We also provided a necessary commodity- spray paint cans! Each can had a little circled S logo and the slogan “Mark Your Load Before You Hit The Road” as well as a thank-you for the driver’s commitment to safety. This Safety day has been successfully conducted at the Mansfield, La., Red River, La., Orange, Texas, and Valliant, Okla. Mills.
