CITY OF BEARDEN: Luminarias glow along the walking path adjacent to Sherwood City Hall

Celebration

City of Bearden issued the following announcement on May 17.

ON THE COVER—Luminarias glow along the walking path adjacent to Sherwood City Hall. The city held a ceremony at dusk April 27 to honor the memory of those who have died during the COVID-19 pandemic and to show gratitude to first responders, public employees, nurses, educators and others who have served on the front lines during the last two years. In April Sherwood also celebrated the grand opening of the city’s new History and Heritage Museum, which houses a growing collection of artifacts and memorabilia that tell the city’s story. Read about the new museum in this issue. Read also about mindfulness strategies, disaster mitigation resources available to local governments and highlights from several recent conferences and workshops. And the 88th Convention is just around the corner. Check out the registration info and tentative agenda inside beginning on page 28.
