Cossatot River High School issued the following announcement on May 9.
This weekend at the Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports West Regional over 75 Junior squads and over 100 Senior squads competed in Jacksonville.
The top 16 Junior squads and top 16 Senior squads qualified for the State Tournament to be held June 3 and 4th.
Congratulations to our Junior Team including Flint Dickerson, Tayden Broach, Thomas Goethals, Dalton Jewell, and Cody Shelton for placing 7th and qualifying for the State Tournament.
Gabe Bell was the Lone Ranger on Junior Squad Two and Doubled his shooting average.
Congratulations to our Senior Team Squad One including Brodie Dickerson, Cole Brantley, Hunter Hamm, Jerrod Frachiseur, and Noah Richardson for placing 10th and qualifying for the State Tournament.
Senior Team Squad Two including Cooper Hayes, Travis Taylor, Braylee Jewell, Jacob Richardson, and Easton Johnson came up only 5 targets short of qualifying for the state tournament.
Senior Team Squad Three including Justin Bell, Bradley Harwood, Landon Case, and Kyler McKee walked to the line one shooter short of a full 5 person squad but gave good effort with a couple shooters having their best scores shooting in Jacksonville.
