Mount Ida Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Mar. 24.

A meet & greet the candidates from the Montgomery County Primary Elections will begin at 5:30PM to 6:00PM. The usual banquet proceedings will begin at 6:00PM, including dinner, a chamber update, Volunteer of the Year awards & a speaker.
Tickets to the banquet event are $10 purchased in advance, $15 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased by stopping by 124 Hwy 270 West (next door to the post office)or by calling the chamber office at 870-867-2723. It will be CASH ONLY if purchased at the door.
Remember: public nominations are going on now for Woman of the Year, Man of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year & Business of the Year. You can nominate here by messenger, send an email to director@mtidachamber.com or come by the office. Winners will be announced at the banquet.
