Mount Ida Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on July 31.
Arkansas Gubernatorial Candidate Sarah Huckabee Sanders explained why she and her family have received COVID-19 vaccinations in a guest column printed in the Sunday Edition of the Arkansas Democrat Gazette. The column comes as active cases in Arkansas nears 15,000.
The gubernatorial hopeful added her voice to other state political and medical leaders who have encouraged people to get vaccinated in an effort to control the spread of the Delta Variant of COVID-19 in Arkansas. Currently just over 40 percent of those eligible for the vaccine are fully vaccinated in the state. Only 39.6 percent of those eligible in Montgomery County have been vaccinated.
