Cost of college went up for all students at Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas

In-state tuition and fees rose 6.7 percent for 2018-19 at Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Arkansas residents paid $3,840 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $240 more than the $3,600 charged for 2017-18.

Non-resident students would have paid 11.7 percent more than residents this year, or $4,290. Non-resident tuition and fees grew 5.1 percent from $4,080 in 2017-18.

100 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Arkansas residents.

Data shows 92 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 191 students received grants or scholarships totaling $928,193.

Including all undergraduates (1,518), 691 students used grants or scholarships totaling $4 million.
