Cost of college went up for all students at Ouachita Baptist University

Tuition and fees rose 3.6 percent for 2018-19 at Ouachita Baptist University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Arkansas students paid $26,790 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $920 more than the $25,870 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 464 students received grants or scholarships totaling $8.7 million and 344 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.2 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,660), 1,486 students used grants or scholarships totaling $28.9 million, and 970 students took out $6 million in federal student loans.
