Rep. Bruce Westerman, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arkansas’ 4th district since 2015, has been active on social media, sharing updates and personal messages with his constituents. He took over from Tom Cotton in 2015 and has previously served in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015.
On May 20, 2025, Rep. Westerman invited his followers to participate in a community engagement event through a “Telephone Town Hall”. This initiative is part of his ongoing efforts to connect with constituents and discuss relevant issues.
The following day, May 21, he expressed condolences for the family of Gerry Connolly via social media. In his post, he conveyed “My most sincere and deepest sympathies are with the family of Gerry Connolly as they grieve the loss of their loved one.”
Later that day, Rep. Westerman shared details about a meeting held in Washington D.C., where he engaged with El Dorado natives on significant policy matters related to HVAC and plumbing contractors. He emphasized the importance of trade schools and apprenticeships for training future skilled workers by stating “Great meeting with El Dorado natives in my Washington DC office to discuss critical policy matters regarding HVAC and plumbing contractors…”
Bruce Westerman was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1967 and graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
