Today, the U.S. House of Representatives approved H.R. 1, known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Following this legislative action, House Committee on Natural Resources Chairman Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.) shared his perspective on the bill’s passage.

Westerman stated, “Today marks a historic day for America as the House took action to provide tax relief for working Americans, make generational investments in the American economy and unleash the full potential of America’s natural resources.” He highlighted that the Natural Resources title of the act is expected to generate significant revenue for the federal government while restoring energy dominance in America.

According to Westerman, this legislation aims to boost critical mineral development, streamline permitting processes, and promote an inclusive energy future. He emphasized that “this comprehensive legislation is the result of months of tireless work by House Republicans.” The bill is designed to enhance economic growth in America, increase financial returns for families, create numerous jobs, and guide the nation toward a more prosperous future.
