Bruce Westerman, a U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’s 4th District since 2015, shared insights from his recent activities on social media. Born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Westerman has a background in engineering and previously served in the Arkansas House of Representatives.
On May 14, 2025, Westerman tweeted about hosting a night tour of the nation’s Capitol for Arkansans. The following day, May 15, he highlighted Arkansas’s waterway industry in another post. Westerman noted that “the workhorses of Arkansas’s waterway industry,” such as barges and tugboats along the MKARNS (McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System), play crucial roles in transporting various goods across the nation.
On May 16, Westerman shared his observations from an event featuring Caterpillar on the National Mall. In his tweet, he mentioned that Caterpillar showcased their innovative equipment to celebrate their nearly century-long legacy. He described them as “the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.”
