Bruce Westerman, a U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’ 4th district since 2015, recently took to social media to address various topics of interest to his constituents. Westerman, who succeeded Tom Cotton in Congress and previously served in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015, shared messages honoring military personnel, warning about severe weather conditions, and offering assistance with federal services.
On May 17, Westerman expressed gratitude towards military service members. He stated: “Today, we honor our military heroes who boldly and bravely answered the call of duty. To the men and women serving in our armed forces, we thank you today, and every day, for your sacrifice!”
Two days later, on May 19, he alerted residents about potential severe weather conditions affecting parts of western Arkansas. His message read: “Arkansans, stay weather aware as severe weather is impacting parts of western Arkansas through the evening!”
On May 20, Westerman informed constituents in the El Dorado area that his District Office is available to assist with issues related to Social Security, Medicare, IRS matters, USCIS concerns, and passport inquiries. He tweeted: “If you are experiencing issues with Social Security, Medicare, IRS, USCIS, passports, and live in the El Dorado area, my District Office is ready to assist with any questions you may have!”
Bruce Westerman was born in Hot Springs in 1967 and graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He currently resides in Hot Springs.
